Changes in the Wind c. 6The spirits blessed the fruitful Pride Lands that day by sending wispy maidens of wind to dance joyously on earth, their silken foot falls blowing refreshing and almost tropical breezes among the fluttering leaves and bowing green grasses. A proud, ancient tree grew humbly at the rim of the land, a mysterious habitation where all four winds blew among the soft dancing leaves and secrets were whispered among the branches like a convention of invisible speakers, telling of rumors and prophesy. Here, a doleful king marched with a drooping head, nothing less than worry pursuing his beating heart. Escaping a ranting outlandish liChanges in the Wind c. 6


Changes in the Wind c. 5His heel spurred shoots of dust from his hind paws as he leveraged his weight. The cold swept around him like a vulture, gliding around his prey, eyes alight with the promise of a catch. Darkness closed in, its bony frail hands grasping in the eternal night, swiping with claws as fierce as white rapids. He kept on running, with every mite of strength, every vain attempt to catch air, his paws aching as if he were treading on deadly blades, fiery coals and snake's deadly venom all at once. Ghosts blotted his eyes, blinding him from direction and sense. Faces of long ago surrounded him, unrecognizable, whispering undeciphered words,Changes in the Wind c. 5


Changes in the Wind c. 4A burst of sun like a golden maiden greeting the horizon glowed across the gloomy early morning sky, casting radiant silhouettes across the land. The savannah was astir, anxiety and nervousness building up, beads of sweat rolling off of sullen brows, limbs jittery with impatience, eyes clenched in frustration, exclamations meekly floating like phantoms from subjects' mouths. The Pride Lands waited in silence, their ears victim to cries of agitation and scoring pain. The blooming sun cast long shadows against the barren, morning grounds. The yowls and excruciation echoing for miles, sounding in their ears like fog horns againChanges in the Wind c. 4
